Considering that online dating profiles are designed to attract romantic partners, there were very few explicit or direct references to sex/sexuality. Changes in the last year have made OkCupid a bit more like Tinder, focusing more on swiping and eliminating the ability to message a user without matching with them first. However, OkCupid has pointed out that these changes did help lower the number of offensive messages users received, which might not be the worst thing.

Happn is a dating app not too dissimilar from craiglist’s “missed connections.” The app only shows users people they’ve crossed paths with, literally, whether that be on the street, at a party, or in their favorite cafe.
